
Jim co-founded Alexander & Schmidt in 1986. For nearly a quarter century he has helped to build the company and lead its management team. Jim launched his insurance career in the 1970s, in the loss control department of The Hartford, of Hartford, Connecticut. He worked in New York and Maine, calling on a variety of large complex accounts. In 1984 he became a loss control manager for Penn General Services, directing a staff that provided services for $25,000,000 in worker's compensation premiums.
Lee Ann has more than 10 years of experience in workers’ compensation claims and insurance underwriting and 16 years of experience in operations and human-resource management. At Alexander & Schmidt, she is responsible for the oversight of the company’s internal operations and all human-resource activities. She is also an adjunct professor in the Business Administration program at Husson College. Lee Ann has a master’s degree in Business Administration and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. She is a member of the National Association of Insurance Women and of the Society of Human Resource Management.
Pat Hill
Manager of Quality Assurance
Patrick Hill runs Alexander & Schmidt’s quality assurance operations, overseeing all technical functions. Pat has over 25 years experience in the occupational safety and health field, the last 12 years of which have been spent at A&S. Pat has been involved with the development of a nationally recognized safety program and assisted OSHA in the development of new standards for the shipyard industry. Pat has trained countless loss control professionals and is the author of a recently published college textbook entitled Defining Risk Assessment.
